Hello.

I would like, in addition to the WODE, to use other homebrew for Wii.

On Saturday, I tried to use USB Loader GX to load a backup of a game. I connected the USB hard disk to the WODE USB port, then I launched the application through the Homebrew Channel, and USB loader gx tried to recognize the USB hard disk, with no success.

Then, I tried to connect the hard disk directly to the Wii USB port, that means, first I disconnected the WODE USB connector, and I plugged the hard disk in the suitable wii USB port. In this case, the USB loader GX looked like it can detect the hard disk, but the Wii system turned unstable and frozen up and I had to power off it.

My question is: is there any way to use homebrew USB loaders, such as uloader, USB loader gx, and so, full compatible with WODE?

Thanks.

Those particular loaders you referenced - NO, not directly via WODE. They are not made to see WODE. You will see that WodeFlow works because it was a port of WiiFlow to be made compatible with WodeFlow.

The USB Loaders you have require your Wii to be fully soft modded to work with the HDD plugged into the Wii. To fully soft mod you need to go to gbaTemp.net as a full soft mod is not supported here. (No, not saying that it is a bad thing or you should not do it - just saying we do not help with full soft mod here as that is not WODE related and other forums have dedicated sections for that kind of stuff)

However - some of the loaders you mentioned HAVE been ported to work with WODE and the HDD plugged into WODE: http://code.google.com/p/wodebrew/downloads/list. There are several different to choose from

Thanks for your reply.

In that link, I can see several options:

wodeflow-r12.dol
wodeflow-r9.dol
wodeloader_gx - v0.1.dol
wodeloader_mrc_carbonic_v0.1.dol
cfg-loader-wode.dol
wodeloader_mrc_hbc_v0.1.dol

I don't know if there are some diferences between those apps and the official "wodeflow - v0.1.dol", what of them do you recommend me to install in the Wii?

Thanks.

Regards.

Take your pick. As they are not actually installed but go in their OWN directory on the SD card in APPS why not try them all and see which one you like best. You will need to create your own meta.xml or simply modify an existing one to go in the same directory and if you want a pic you need an icon.png as well.

SD:\APPS\WodeFlow\meta.xml, icon.png, boot.dol
SD:\APPS\WodeLoader\meta.xml, icon.png, boot.dol

the folder in apps can be called anything you like

I personally only have ever used WodeFlow.

Currently using WodeFlow r12. Just remember they must be renamed to boot.dol.

Info on WodeFlow: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3049&p=28128#p28128

Info on CFG WodeLoader: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=2289

Again - best bet is for you try try them and see what is best for you
