I had a simmilar issue when I had auto load last game set! I kept forgeting to eject the auto load image. when I installed the disk and start rip... The same error would pop up.

I tinkered around and could not get it to work

Its now fixed :) ... ... I turned off the autoload, ]fully powered down the wii and wode and....like magic....... all was fine after the reboot. :D
hope this helps

Did you reboot your WODE Wii after you updated. I needed to do that for the update to work properly. ;)

Right please try this.

Remove the disc from the DVD in the Wii.
Power the Wii and WODE off.
Wait two or three minutes.
Power back up.
Wait for the WODE to find your HDD that you have connected.
Select the ripping feature.
Select the format of the rip you want.
Select where you want the rip to be stored - your Hard Drive or what ever you are using.
Insert the disc into the Wii
Wait
Activate ripping

Please post back here at which point the process breaks down if not successful.

After installing the 2.0 update, I've been able to successfully rip 15 of the 17 titles I've tried, which has been great! However, two games, Guitar Hero World Tour and Super Smash Bros Brawl (both NTSC) fail on every attempt. Typically they will reach anywhere between 1 and 5% complete before the WODE appears to lock up. The status will remain at around 5% and will never progress further. If I press the eject button, the optical drive stops spinning, but the LCD screen never changes, the disc remains in the drive and my only option is to power down the system. Other times I will simply get the rip failed message during the disc analyzing phase and the disc will get ejected. When I check the HD, there is typically about 20 - 200MB or so of data written to the wbfs or iso file but it's obviously not all there.

My Wii's running on 4.2u and is connected to a freshly formatted FAT 32 500 GB drive. Guitar Hero World Tour plays fine in flat mode, but Super Smash Bros displays an error that the disc can't be read, and to consult the manual that came with the game. I've played SSBB before on the same Wii however this is the first time I've tried since installing the WODE. Therefore I'm not sure if the SSBB problem is related to this update or to the WODE in general. I've made sure that updates were turned on and when inserting the disc it appears correctly in disc menu. But when I select the start button the optical drive spins down after a few seconds and the disc error appears. I've tried the disc in a friend's Wii and it works fine so it doesn't appear to a problem with the disc itself.
I've tried ripping them both now about 10 times after restarting, making sure that auto load is off, and cleaning the discs, but still no luck. Although Guitar Hero launches and plays in flat mode, it exhibits the same behavior that SSBB does when trying to rip.
Any thoughts?
