I was having video stuttering in games and changed my hard drive to an external USB 3.0 1TB hard drive. Videos work fine now.
The only thing that happens, and it is only with this hard drive, is that after using it for some time within the first 1-5 minutes, and sometimes randomly later on, the ISO eject itself and the game says to insert the disc. Every time you remount the ISO on the WODE it autoejects itself. The only solution is to reboot the Wii and it may not happen. I have to do this a few times sometimes to get into a game and be able to play it.
This happens even when both of the WODE USB power cables are in the Wii. I don't know if it has enough power to work with this USB 3.0 HDD. It is an external laptop size hard drive without its own power cord.

Would getting an external USB 3.0 HDD with its own power cord solve this :)

What filesystem your hard-disk use?If is FAT/NTFS try running a "chkdsk /f" under windows system.

The scan didn't turn up any problems to fix. The hard drive was 'fine'.

Then I am at a complete loss... You stated "No problems after scanning" which to most people means "After I ran the scan the issue went away and has been resolved"

Are you saying:

1. You ran a scan
2. No issues were found
3. The issue is now somehow resolved even though the scan did not fix anything

I guess I now ask the question TG did: "Is the problem fixed?"

My net has been down so I couldn't reply.
I ran a chkdsk and it was reported fine - there were no errors to correct. The hard drive was already 'fine'.

The issue still occurs where the ISO ejects itself and remounting it keeps on ejecting it.

The solution is to reset the Wii perhaps 4-5 times until it stays stable, or use a 16GB flash with the game I am temporarily playing.
I have only experienced this with the 1TB USB 3.0 external, and I've used multiple hard drives with the WODE - it's only with this one, and it's the only USB 3 HDD I've tried, and does it even with both WODE USB cables in the Wii for extra power.

It just happens with this hard drive from the ones I have tested.
