I'm having problems with getting the Dragon Road "mod" to load on my wii. I load through wodeflow, but it crashed so I tried to do it directly through the wode and it crashed again. It loads the iso then goes to a screen after that stating that the game is dirty or not in there (can't remember what), but I have to restart my wii after trying.

I changed the settings to ntsc and also tried default, but it doesn't work. Anyone else have a suggestion on how to get it to work?

TIA

To play custom / hacked games yu need to soft mod your wii. Soft modding of this nature is not supported on this forum.

You need to go over to http://www.gbatemp.net and look up modMii. That is what I used to soft mod my wii (and I still have WODE) I use wodeflow for all my non modded games and USB loader Gx for my non modded games.

However, this means need two hdd's. One in WODE and one in the back of the wii. To get the games to run via WODE flow after you have soft modded your wii you need to modify the iOS file used by the game yard playing (need to add truncha back to the ios) and then you can start via wodeflow. That is how I understand it for loading modded games under wodeflow but I never did it as I just did not want to take the risk in areas I do not know much about.

A 2nd hdd and a 2nd loader pleases me just fine.

Couldn't I use hbc to boot the dol file? I don't understand why I need 2x the drives?

Install a cIOS (e.g. d2x), use a softmod loader (e.g. cfgusbloader) and plug your existing HDD into your Wii's USB port closer to the edge. As long as your games are in a folder called "wbfs" it should be fine. Most loaders require a file layout like "GameID.wbfs" (or .iso) or "Title [GameID].wbfs" (or .iso).

As per rduke.

I never said you need two drives I said I use two drives with the setup I did. I wanted to soft mod my wii with limited fuss. Which means less can go wrong.

You can soft mod to make the custom games load load via wodeflow but y need t modify the iOS file the game uses (as far as I am aware).

To use othe USB loaders the hdd must be plugged into the top USB port on the wii. I could not be bothered swapping from WODE to wii so I use two hdd.

End result - to play custom games you need to soft mod your wii. This forum is not about fully soft modding your wii and this is why I referred you to gbatemp.net

Ahh ok I see. You need the hd directly connected through the wii not the wode ;) Yea if that's the case I might as well say screw it. Do you know if that's the same for the NSMB mods too?

Yep, same for ANY modded wii games. The sole reason I soft modded was so I could play the NSWB and Mario Kart Wii mods :)

The is a way to soft mod to make it work via WODE wi the hdd plugged into WODE but I do not know how to do that.

The extra hdd cost me next to noting to buy so I just purchased it and did the double hdd setup.

Well worth the cash for the hdd do play the mods :)... And modMii to softmod the wii was really easy

Excuse my hate for ModMii but what I said requires reading one link and installing one cIOS. How hard is that? And you don't end up with anything you don't need.

That seems simple enough and it is quite easy and straight forward. I only recommended modMii because. It is all I know and it worked for me..

Actually it screwed my GameCube playback by installing a mios verse (or something like that) that I did not want so I had to install the older version again. But I kno what was changed after I complained to the author...

But yes, rduke's link installs only what you need but modMii will install more if you let it (and sometimes if you do not let it). I wanted modMii so I could install a few extra things via the wizard setup.. .like the red wii theme etc...

Rduke link is simple and easy (so is modMii) but rduke is just as simple and ha dthe same effect with less other crap getting installed :)

Thanks for the link rduke... I am keeping that one... Sorry I missed / did not read it properly in your previous post :(
