Hi Zephyr,

I am absoltely sure I have the right cheat file, because ALL(!) cheats I tried (and that were many, because I was curious ;) ) are working with Gecko. With WodeFlow are working only some codes, e.g. B to pound and DOWN+B to blow or Moonjump. Every code which has Infinite in his name is working only with Gecko, but not with WodeFlow. I know right now that I need Version 2 codes from Geckocodes.

Please do me one last favour: Although I know where to download WodeFlow, I want to try the very version you are using. Could you please post the boot.dol of WodeFlow you are using, because I want to be absolutely sure that I have the same file you're using?

Thank you very much in advance.

I am using the exact version from that website I gave you. It is the only place I know to download from.

I can't upload to this site and fie dropper only stores files for a short time.

What I did instead was download the wodeflow-r12.dol file: http://wodebrew.googlecode.com/files/wodeflow-r12.dol and then renamed it to boot.dol and saved it over my existing boot.dol.

The result is the cheats still work so download the above file and you have the EXACT file that I have

Maybe - somehow it is the copy of the game you have rather than wodeflow... But who know as it works with Gecko....

If you download wodeflow from the link above you have the EXACT file that I have. In this thread: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=3049&p=28128#p28128 you have the download for teh SAME meta.xml and icon.png I use.

This means you have the same same wodeflow, the same meta.xml, same icon.png and same cheat file. I tested from both the HBC 1.0.8, WodeFlow Forwarder and on another Wii that has HBC 1.0.7 and no wifi. (My game has been converted to .wbfs format vai Wii Backup Manger)

No idea why it is not working for you unless somehow your game is different modified.... Then again it does not explain why it works from Gecko and not WodeFlow

Maybe someone else can test the cheat file from WodeFlow and see how it goes for them.

I wish I could help more but I have no idea - sorry

I downloaded WodeFlow r12, compared it bit by bit with my version and both files are identical. Tried it anyway (also with your meta.xml) and it didn't work. :(
Then I deinstalled HBC 1.0.8 and installed HBC 1.0.7 instead of it. No difference at all. Then I deinstalled HBC 1.0.7 and reinstalled HBC 1.0.8 instead of it.
For today I'll give up.

Thank you very much for all your help and patience.

You did what you could. More than I had possibly done. I am not that patient.

Maybe I will give 4.3E a try (because that's the only difference between your and my Wii I can see), but I am not sure about the consequences. I am not planning to fully softmod my Wii, but I still want to use the HBC and perhaps a WodeFlow Forwarder. That should be no problem with 4.3E. I hope there are no serious drawbacks using 4.3E. Do you know any?

Thanks again for your help.

As long as you you have HBC 1.0.7 or above installed you can safely go to 4.3 system menu and not lose the HBC.

You can also still fully softmod your Wii on 4.3 using ModMii ro a few otehr methods (I personally used ModMii when on 4.3 and it worked flawlessly)

You lose BannerBomb so if you have to install the HBC again (in case you remove it nd exit teh HackMii installer or for some other reason) then you need one of a few games to be able to install the HBC again.... Or if you have Priiloader installed you can install the HBC again or some forwaredr channel you are set to go

ENd result I see no real difference between 4.2 and 4.3.

The Wii system formware shoudl make absolutely no difference. What is likely to make the difference is the game image itself.

As I understand you softmodded your Wii up to a specific degree. I think that could be a difference beside the firmware.
Yesterday while I was switching between different versions of the HBC I wasn't even able to play the game when it was started through WodeFlow. It crashed a few seconds after the level was loaded. After the second or third time installing HBC 1.0.8 everything went to normal.

What I am trying to tell you is that minor modifications (not visible to me because HBC 1.0.8 worked in both cases) can cause huge differences when loading a game. Even weird things can happen. Yesterday I also tried to install a WodeFlow forwarder. Before that I installed IOS58 with the installer you mentioned pretty often in another thread. :D After reinstalling HBC 1.0.8 it recognized IOS58 but it was impossible to install the forwarder via Multi-Mod-Manager 13.4 (MMM) on IOS58. So I decided to update IOS58 via MMM. Now it was possible to install any forwarder I liked to have, but HBC 1.0.8 wasn't recognizing IOS58 anymore. That is no problem as it runs now on IOS61 as before. Still no INFINITE cheats in DKCR. But the good thing is I learned a lot about the Wii and that is not too bad. ;) Hey, and Gecko still works with all cheats I tried!
I am still hoping that r-win releases a new WodeFlow which fixes my issue. It seems to me that the Gecko code is not fully implemented in the current versions.

Nope - you are wrong with your soft mod theory. As I said on my previous post. I tested this on a DIFFERENT Wii. It has NO soft mods what so ever except HBC 1.0.7 and a WodeFlow Forwader Channel/ Cheats for DKC are fine via HBC and the Forwarder using WodeFlow

It is a straight up 4.3 that uses WodeFlow R12 via the HBC 1.0.7 and does nto have Wifi active.

It is using the exact same DKC image as my otehr Wii.

Your issue has absolutely NOTHING to do with HBC 1.0.7 or HBC 1.0.8 or being soft modded or not.

I have tested on both a soft modded and non soft modded Wii. Both versions of HBC 1.0.7 and 1.0.8 using WodeFlow via HBC and via a WODE Forwarder and it has worked flawlessly with teh cheats every time.

The difference we have is the game image. Case in point - new cheats must be made for a PATCHED NDS game compared to a non patched NDS game. Maybe your game image is somehow different to my one and that is the issue....

As for HBC and IOS58.... HBC will ONLY install / recognise IOS58 if you have IOS58 installed BEFORE installing the HBC 1.0.8. You stated you updated the IOS58 and forwarders can now be installed and work BUT you never mentioned reinstalling the HBC 1.0.8 again after the IOS58 update you installed. HBC 1.0.8 doe snot automatically see IOS58 if it is installed AFTER the fact

If you start teh HBC and press HOME and it states HBC 1.0.8 and not IOS58 in the top left corner you need to ensure IOS58 is installed and then reinstall HBC 1.0.8

As a further measure I know a number of people with WODE. They are NOT soft moded and they are on 4.2 system menu and others on 4.3 system menu along with a mix of HBC 1.0.7 and HBC 1.0.8. They have all reported back to me that via WodeFlow they are fine with the cheats....

Either all of us are very lucky or you have some issue your end.

I seriously do not think it is an issue with WodeFlow in any way.... I could be wrong but that is my opinion based on all tests that have been done on Soft Modded, Non Soft Moded, HBC 1.0.7 and HBC 1.0.8 Wii's with and without ISO58 installed.

So far - unfortunately for you - you are the only one with an issue that I know of with this game and cheats.

It is not very likely that the game image is the cause of the problems, because Gecko works without any flaws and WodeFlow does not. Period! So it has to be a problem with the software that's used to cheat. There is no other conclusion possible. How could it while Gecko works?

We know because of your experiences that WodeFlow r12 works with the cheats you provided me. Period! So we know that WodeFlow is not the real cause of the problem. That's quite logical and obvious. But WodeFlow depends not alone on itself but also on other things to work and that could be the IOS's of the firmware, the HBC (and the IOS it's depending on) and maybe other things I don't know. And that's the difference that matters. But I must admit that it is not very likely we both will ever find out what the difference is.

However, right now I try to obtain another game image, but I am not too optmistic that I'll see a difference in the behaviour of WodeFlow.

PS: I know that this thread and me bother you in the meantime a bit ;) , but I am only trying to find out what's going on. And I appreciate it very, very much that you're still replying to my stupid posts.

All I can say is it makes no sense why it works with Gecko and not WodeFlow. That in itself points to WodeFlow as the game is loaded by WODE the same way for Gecko as it is WodeFlow

Give this a try:

Renaming your existing wodeflow.ini file
Start WodeFlow and a new wodeflow.ini will be created
- Maybe you have a setting that is somehow interferring... Who knows
Place th gct file in the default location for WodeFlow Cheats
Go to DKCR - NTSC and turn cheats on
Start the game
Do all cheats work?

Or try JUST the infinite codes and nothing else via WodeFlow? Does it then work for you?

The only thing that does not make sense in all this is that it does not work for you on 4.2 yet it works for others. It does not work for you but it works for me on my soft modded and non soft modded Wii but not for you...

Very Strange... What you can do is set DCKR as a Favourite in your WODE Favourites Menu and select it from there and then Start Geck if yu want teh cheats.

My WODE Settings are:

Wii Region: EUR
Updates: NO
Region Patch: ON
Free Space: OFF

Maybe also trying sending a PM to captnoord: ucp.php?i=pm&mode=compose&u=3247 - r-win is not the only one that works on and maintains WodeFlow
