Let me recap what you've got:

- NTFS drive working with 2.1a (NTFS rw firmware)
- The drive shows up in the ripper (on the menu [Ripper (1)] (or maybe 2,3,4 ) and in the ripper menu the drive is selectable and selected below the "Start" button?
- Ripping starts but fails after initializing.

Is that correct?

All you have to do is insert the disc before you choose "Start" ripping, that's the way it's supposed to work. The update package to 2.00 contains a - not up to date but still basically valid - manual to ripping http://www.wodejukebox.com/download/WOD ... .02.00.zip.

If you still can't get it to work please report back .

i had the same issue initially... wode was fw ver. 1.0 (i think) and i updated
directly to 2.1. the LCD would read Ripper(0), no RW drive.

forgot to update to 1.28 first

downgraded then upgraded and all seems fine.

Just make the downgrade and than upgrade again to 2.1a FW. But no changes ,,,

I see that the HDD is still not listed in the RIP setup, Strange ..

Could it be the HARDDISK ?

Hi,

I am back again because I try everything possible to rip a disk, but no chance. Here is what I did and try:

Format ext HD in 2 partitions - 1 Fat32 and 1 NTFS
Try to copy ORIGINAL Mario Strikers to this HD. I try first many times to fat32 partition has a WBFS format . WODE say ; initialising for 30 min , then I have to power down the WII because the system was hanging. Next step was to try to RIP to my NTFS partition but in ISO format , there he go to 1 procent and finally give up too. If i look in the HDD partitions , i see that in the the NTFS part he start to create the ISO ... but with almost no data in it.

I try to downgrade to previous FW , but nothing helps !

My settings:

Wode has FW 2.1a

External Freecom HDD with separate power.

Can anybody PLEASE help, this is so frustrating that I am stucked,, (and my son is not happy)

could you try to update to firmware 2.2E BETA.

So, i installed the FW 2.2E Beta, but there are no changes in the ripping problems... Everything stays the same. I think I tryed almost every setting on the Wode , and the different Hard disk structures FAT32 & NTFS, but no solution till now.
Everything is working perfect , EXECPT the ripping feature and that's a pitty..
