Hey guys,

Been a long time since I played my Wii and I AM STUCK. I don't know what to do. I played Mario Party 8 and that's the last game on my Wii. What do I need to do to get my WODE updated and my Wii ready to play MP9? Has anyone played it? I don't even remember how to play games... :'(

Thanks for the help! Ciao

As far as I am aware Mario party 9 is not beeofficially released so can not be discussed.

If you want to be up to date install the latest hbc 1.1.0 and then use the wii update feature to update to the latest firmware.

Note that once you update past 4.1 you can't play out of region games without the hbc and wodeflow or some other WODEbrew

Doesn't happen too often that PAL gets a release first ;).

No, not often... Even more rare is when AU get it before everyone else... Still PAL I know but you know what I mean

I thought I had to do something to the games as well? Like scrub them to make them smaller? Do you still do that?

AFAIK scrubbing is just the process of replacing the garbage data with 0s - you have to
    - convert the image to e.g. a wbfs file (search for wii backup manager or wbfs_file)
    - create a sparse file on ext/NTFS
to make it actually take less space

So I have everything updated except my wii. Should I update it via the internet over wifi? Will I need to worry about the hbc or my wode no longer working? I have the hbc installed via boot2. Thanks for the help guys :)

HBC 1.0.7 and above won't get wiped by a system menu update. Which you can do via the system menu's update function to get the latest version. The only thing that you have to keep in mind is that region free from disc channel stops working without softmodding on Wii system menu 4.2+.
